What is Pilates
Pilates is a technique pioneered in the 1930’s by Joseph Pilates, a German who was involved in numerous sports. He combined techniques used in martial arts and gymnastics to produce his own training technique. Pilates is an exercise method, designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance.
Pilates can be beneficial for just about everyone, regardless of age and fitness level. Physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors refer patients to Pilates as it can be of huge benefit to sufferers of low back pain, neck problems & recurrent injuries. Physically-fit has also had the great opportunity of training many sporting athletes from the enthusiastic tennis player to a professional olympic triathlete. So, whether you are looking to improve your back swing in tennis or hit the golf ball further than your friends, pilates will help strengthen you from the inside out.

Physically-fit offers one to one private pilates training using a reformer machine and small group classes from a newly refurbished studio in Cassington. Easy access off the A40 with plenty of parking make it an ideal location to schedule a workout before, during or after work.
