Why Stott Pilates
Stott Pilates is an updated, improved and modified version of the original Joseph Pilates technique.
1. It breaks down the exercises into essential, intermediate and advanced levels
2. It focuses on breathing in a natural way to allow for relaxation and reduced muscle tension
3. Emphasis on stabilisation of the pelvis to maintain neutral
4. Shoulder girdle stabilisation to help set the body in a strengthened position before movement.
There are many fitness and Pilates professionals that have gained a Pilates qualification in half a day course. These qualifications are not to be confused with the STOTT PILATES training method. All STOTT PILATES instructors have to commit to a continual development programme and training to ensure their teaching methods are up to date with the new research and to help expand their ideas to make training as fun and effective as possible.
