How did you hear about the pilates class? through a friend Why did you decide to take up Post natal pilates? Because of my on-going back problems and worry I would not be able to look after my baby eg lifting In what way has the class helped you post delivery and in general life now? Helped to get my pelvic floor strong, and to build up strength and flexibility generally, essential as my baby grows and gets heavier. Also, my tummy is back to being pretty flat most of the time (when I engage the muscles!). Would you recommend [&hellip

How did you hear about the pilates class? The class was recommended to me by a friend who had attend after giving birth to her daughter Why did you decide to take up Post natal pilates? The physiotherpist in the hospital recommended that I did pilates to strengthen my core and hips as there was no more that they could do as outpatients. In what way has the class helped you post delivery and in general life now? The class has helped me get back running and doing breaststroke (I was not able to after giving birth). It has strengthened [&hellip

I have had a one to one session with Angela as well as attended one of her Pre Natal Workshops, both sessions were very beneficial.  The one to one session focused on my specific needs, where Angela created a programme for me to use, whether in the gym or at home, of exercises which can be completed without harming either me or the baby.  The Workshop was an informal gathering of Mum’s to be where we discussed & put into practice exercises which can be used throughout pregnancy to get your body ready for labour & beyond.  Angela is very [&hellip

“I’ve been to both the pre and post natal workshops and have found both really beneficial. The pre natal sessions helped with my strength and core which kept me active and mobile throughout my pregnancy and labour. The post natal sessions helped me to continue to build back my strength and flexibility and it was great to try some different equipment and tailor it to exercises that would help me since having a baby. I would strongly recommend both these workshops to any mum or mum to be.”

‘I attended Angela’s pre-natal work shop early on in my pregnancy.  Having just recovered from a knee operation, I was keen to maintain my fitness during pregnancy but was nervous with what was safe.  Angela’s work shop was very informative, she was sensitive to individual needs and abilities during the session and I was amazed at the range of exercises you can actually do whilst pregnant!  With this in mind I booked one on one sessions with Angela and she has provided me with a challenging, but safe program, that meets my exact needs and already I can feel my [&hellip

“I recently attended the pre-natal workshop run by Angela Lockwood and I am so glad I went! It was a great opportunity to meet other mums to be and to talk through your experiences so far. We discussed a great deal about the do’s and don’ts relating to exercise, and you will be pleased to hear that they are a lot more Do’s than Don’ts J. Angela was able to answer many of our questions regarding worries and concerns when it came to exercise and gave us the reassurance and motivation that what we wanted to do was actually ok! [&hellip

“The pre-natal workshop was excellent. I have used a lot of the exercises during my gym sessions which are effective and easy to remember. So good to know I am exercising safely! I really enjoyed meeting other mums to be as well in a very relaxed and friendly environment. I will definitely be going to the next session.” &nbsp

After finding out I was pregnant I stopped exercising completely – partly through the early stage fatigue, but mostly through a lack of knowledge of what, if any, kind of workout was ok. Angela was able to put me back on track first through the prenatal workshops and then by personal training sessions. I was pleased to find out in the workshops how much I could still do, including cardio, and reassured by actually having information from a reliable source about what the limits were and the (few) things to avoid. My gym programme now includes focused pre-natal exercises, which [&hellip

“I started working with Angela when I was around 13 weeks pregnant (I am now in my 30th week, and I still enjoy my workouts!). Our training sessions are dynamic and fun, and the workouts she has designed have progressed with my pregnancy to ensure that I remain fit, active and strong. Her knowledge of pre-natal fitness is absolutely amazing, and she’s always provided top-notch advise and tips. I have a hectic work-life, and lately Angela has tailored my workouts so that I can do them at David Lloyd or at home using my own equipment – this has been [&hellip

“ I recommend seeing Angela especially if you’re expecting a baby as you need extra help to keep your body working well whilst it copes with pregnancy changes. A few years ago I had a very painful bad back which led to taking painkillers constantly and meant I had to lie down at work. I had lots of physiotherapy and osteopathy but the pain remained severe. On the recommendation of a friend, I took up Pilates and surprised myself by curing the bad back and by becoming strong and more supple. I think that what was needed for me was [&hellip
