"Is the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit." Joseph Pilates
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates focuses on improving postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. We use a variety of props to adjust an exercise to make it harder or easier depending on the focus and you can start pilates anytime, you don't need to be fit before you start!
Pilates classes online and in-person
Thanks to Covid, many industries including the pilates world saw us move from in person class teaching to online teaching only. This in one was was great as it kept us connected and also moving even if you did not have any hands on attention that you would normally get in a class setting. However, as a result of Covid my classes continue to run online but with the option of having up to 6 people in person due to the size of my studio. There are a variety of classes on offer to choose (please see the timetable). If you have any further questions about any of the classes please do not hesitate to contact me.
How do you know if a private session is for you? Well, I would always encourage anyone new to pilates to book in for a private session to get the undivided attention and focus a one to one offers. This will ensure you learn how to do the exercises correctly and it also helps you to identify when you are doing it wrong and how to correct yourself. Pilates is a journey of healing and self care, its a practice that takes time to master. So indulge yourself and book a one to one, you will gain so much from it that you can take into your weekly online or in person sessions.
