What is Pilates?

Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates focuses on proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. 

Pilates classes online

Due to the current world pandemic and in order to ensure all clients feel safe and continue to feel motivated,  all pilates classes run online via the Zoom app and in person. Number of in person clients is limited to 6 and booking is on a first come first serve basis.  There are a variety of classes on offer to choose (please see the timetable below). If you have any further questions about any of the classes please do not hesitate to contact me.

Class Descriptions

  • Beg/Int Pilates with props Class
    • This class covers a wide range of the beginner to progressed pilates exercises and uses the resistance bands, spikey balls, toning balls or weights to add more challenge to the movements.
  • Pilates and HIIT Class
    • This is a NEW class to the timetable and a really exciting one! This was designed to include a mini 25min HIIT workout so that you could work up a sweat and increase your daily calories burned. The class is aimed to fit in during your lunch break or when your little one is asleep! (Low impact and higher impact options are available for anyone who is pelvic floor conscious!) The class finishes with a dynamic pilates flow. This is definitely a bang for buck workout!
  • Intermediate Pilates with props Class
    • Focussing on the more progressed pilates exercises and using the props to help support or make the exercises more challenging for those wanting more from their workout.
  • Pre natal Pilates Class
    • My absolute MUST class for all pregnant ladies! This class is focussed on keeping you strong, mobile and moving during your pregnancy. We cover all the pilates exercises adapted for pregnancy and also focus on strength training using the resistance bands and a pair of weights (cans of beans will do if you don't have any) Pregnancy is a state of wellbeing not an illness! So why not be and feel your best for this amazing time of your life!
  • Post Natal Pilates Class
    • The ultimate class for healing post birth! This class will ensure you start from your foundations and build your core strength up the right way! Learn how to heal your Diastasis Recti or how to support a healing C section scar! Book now!

Pilates one to one sessions

How do you know if a private session is for you? Well, I would always encourage anyone new to pilates to book in for a private session to get the undivided attention and focus a one to one offers. This will ensure you learn how to do the exercises correctly and it also helps you to identify when you are doing it wrong and how to correct yourself. Pilates is a journey of healing and self care, its a practice that takes time to master. So indulge yourself and book a one to one, you will gain so much from it that you can take into your weekly online class sessions.
