Bridge - focussing on the posterior chain

This is a great variation on an already fantastic exercise, the bridge! Use this version to build up strength on one side without taking your leg off the floor. Often we are ready to progress to a more challenging version of an exercise but taking a foot off the floor is a big step. Using these ball props is a great way to build body confidence and strength without taking a big leap immediately! Doing this can also highlight the difference in your sides and building up the balance more equally with practice. If you don’t have a toning ball or soft ball, then just press hands against the floor and put your foot onto any ball such as a football lying around.  Hold for 20-30seconds or do a few lift and lowers keeping a neutral back x 8 each side.
